If something is broken

Four things make a problem findable, and without them it usually is not:

• What you did, in the order you did it — which tool, on which branch.
• What happened, and what you expected instead.
• Where: the app on an iPhone or iPad, or the website, and in which browser.
• A screenshot, if it is something you can see. For a tree, one is worth a paragraph.

Two things that are not bugs

The tree is gone after a while. On the website, browsers delete the stored data of sites you have not visited in a few weeks — the tree lives in that storage, so it goes with it. The app does not have this problem: what it saves stays until you delete the app. Either way the tree is only ever on your own device, and there is no copy for us to restore.

The tree is not doing what you expected. It might be right. BonsaiSim simulates a Japanese maple growing over years, and a maple answers a cut on its own schedule, not on yours — a branch pruned in summer behaves differently from the same branch pruned in winter. If it still looks wrong, tell us: the model is built from published horticultural sources and when it disagrees with a real maple, the model is what is wrong.
